To keep our pricing as simple as possible, we charge per thousand words. This means you always know in advance how much you will be paying.  

Both our editing and proofreading services are available with guaranteed 24- and 72-hour turnaround times depending on the length of the piece.

Editing

This is suitable for non-native speakers or for native speakers who feel they would benefit from a deeper engagement with the structure and logic of their work.

Standard Editing: £16.00 per 1,000 words

A 72-hour turnaround from receipt on pieces of up to 60,000 words

Express Editing: £18.00 per 1,000 words

A 24-hour turnaround from receipt on pieces of up to 20,000 words

Proofreading

This is suitable for native speakers who are confident that they don’t need the content of the text checking to ensure it forms a coherent and meaningful whole but feel they would benefit from professional proofreading to correct their minor errors. Please note that manuscripts submitted for the proofreading service must be written in fluent native-level English.

Standard Proofreading: £14.00 per 1,000 words

A 72-hour turnaround from receipt on pieces of up to 60,000 words

Express Proofreading: £16.00 per 1,000 words

A 24-hour turnaround from receipt on pieces of up to 20,000 words

Longer pieces: For DPhil and PhD theses and for academic monographs, turnaround times are by arrangement, with fees charged in line with the Standard Editing (£16.00 per 1,000 words) price.

Formatting: We are experts in MS Word and can apply the styles needed to ensure your work is presented to a publishable standard. Please contact us to discuss your formatting requirements.

Institutions: Please note that the prices quoted above are for individuals. For institutions, we charge a flat rate of £18 per thousand words regardless of the timeframe to account for the more complex requirements and extra administration involved.

Please note that for all services a £12 minimum fee applies.
